Your first day in Canggu
Keep your first day in Canggu easy. After a flight, the move is a brunch or lunch near your villa, a beach walk, a massage, a sunset drink and a simple dinner close by — not a far-flung tour or a race to see the whole island. Bali feels much better when day one is about settling in rather than fighting traffic.

Keep the first day easy

Don't book a distant temple-and-waterfall tour for arrival day. Check in, eat nearby, get a massage, catch the sunset if you have the energy, and sleep early.
The rest of the trip is for exploring. Day one is for landing softly and beating the jet lag.
A relaxed first-day shape

An easy brunch or lunch → a beach walk → a massage → a sunset drink → a simple dinner near where you're staying.
The night you land is not the moment to cross Canggu in traffic for a viral restaurant. Pick something close, comfortable and easy to book.
Which pocket: Berawa, Batu Bolong or Pererenan?

Berawa has more beach clubs, gyms, restaurants and an expat-lifestyle feel. Batu Bolong is surf, beach access, cafés and classic Canggu energy. Pererenan is calmer and more grown-up, but still close to it all.
You don't need to move between them on day one — settle into your own pocket first and explore the others once you've found your feet.
Sunset and dinner in one area

Pair your sunset spot and dinner so you're not driving far in the dark after. The beach, a beachfront bar, or the Echo Beach / Pererenan stretch all work for an easy first-night sunset.
Arrive at the sunset spot early — Canggu's beachfront fills up — and don't plan to move far right after.
Getting around without a scooter

Canggu works without a scooter if you stay local: cafés, beach, gym, spa, shopping and dinner are all close, and Grab or Gojek covers the short hops. Just choose a base near where you want to be.
If you'll explore beyond Canggu — Uluwatu, Ubud day trips — a private driver for those days is easier and safer than a scooter you're not confident on.
